On successful completion of this course, the student, with the aid of the appropriate reference materials, should be able to:

1. Understand the features of DB2 that have changed in Version 10, and how these features affect existing applications
2. Develop new applications that take advantage of the new features of Version 10
3. Utilize the SQL extensions provided in Version 10
4. Understand and use the new features of the utilities
5. Explore the data definition extensions provided by Version 10
6. Understand and use the Version 10 features of DB2 that support XML.
