Benefits
Students who complete this course will learn the terminology associated with relational data bases, and be introduced to the facilities of DB2 that are most important to application developers. They will be exposed to basic SQL statements and the DB2 application development environment. They will also develop skills in normalizing tables.
Audience
Application developers who need to develop or maintain applications in a DB2 environment, or who need a general understanding of DB2 capabilities and use.
Prerequisites
The student entering this course should have experience in designing and coding application programs in COBOL or PL/I, in the application environment (CICS, IMS/DB/DC, TSO, or batch) in which DB2 will be used.
