Language Environment (LE) is a component of z/OS that provides run-time support for programs written in COBOL, PL/I, C/C++, Assembler, and Fortran. LE also provides a large number of callable services that application developers can use to accomplish useful tasks such as date formatting and conversion, math and scientific calculations, error detection and handling, and so on.

Using LE Services in z/OS provides a thorough introduction to the concepts and facilities (and all the callable services) of this important product

Cross Program Communication in z/OS focuses in on how programs communicate between other programs written in the same or different languages

Creating and Using DLLs in z/OS describes how to create and how to use DLLs, using Assembler, COBOL, PL/I, and C

Enterprise COBOL Update provides a rapid review of changed and new features in COBOL from COBOL II through to the latest COBOL compiler

Enterprise COBOL Unicode and XML Support provides instruction on how to work with Unicode and XML in COBOL programs; this is helpful in providing connections between Web-based transactions and existing COBOL transaction processing programs

Enterprise COBOL Debugging and Maintenance focuses on subroutine linkages, passing and receiving parameters, and the program binder as well as debugging COBOL programs using LE dumps

z/OS Debug Tool for Enterprise COBOL covers the most current version of the Enterprise COBOL compiler working with the latest version of the Debug Tool.

Enterprise PL/I Debugging and Maintenance focuses on debugging PL/I programs compiled with the Enterprise PL/I compiler using LE dumps, SYSUDUMPS, and native PL/I debugging techniques.

z/OS Debug Tool for Enterprise PL/I covers the most current version of the Enterprise PL/I compiler working with the latest version of the Debug Tool.

Interactive C/C++ Debugging with Debug Tool is a one day course focusing on using this tool in the C/C++ environment.

z/OS Debug Tool for Multi-Language Applications extends our emphasis on supporting multiple programming languages to the debugging realm, using the Language Environment debug tool
